1. Who we are

GetHireIn Ltd (Company No. 17285901) ("GetHireIn", "we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England and Wales. We operate the platform at gethirein.com, which connects first-time and early-career job seekers with employers.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using GetHireIn, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform. You must be 18 or older to use GetHireIn.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Job seekers

As a job seeker you can:

  • Create and maintain a profile on the platform
  • Apply for jobs and tasks posted by employers
  • Use AI tools including resume builder, cover letter generator, interview coach, and career quiz
  • Message employers you are in an active application with
  • Share your public profile link externally

You must not post false or misleading information in your profile. GetHireIn uses AI to help write and enhance your profile — you are responsible for reviewing and ensuring your profile is accurate before using it in applications.

5. Employers

As an employer you can:

  • Post job listings and micro-tasks
  • View candidate profiles and applications
  • Message candidates you are in an active application with
  • Access AI matching and talent tools included in your plan

Employers must not post fraudulent, misleading, or discriminatory job listings. All listings must comply with UK employment law. GetHireIn reserves the right to remove any listing without notice.

6. Payments and subscriptions

The Starter plan is free. Paid plans (Growth and Pro) are billed monthly via Stripe. Founder pricing is available for the first 50 employers and is locked for 12 months from the date of subscription.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. No refunds are issued for partial months. Enterprise plans are subject to a separate agreement.

7. AI-generated content

GetHireIn uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to generate profile content, cover letters, resumes, interview questions, and other materials. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and may not always be accurate. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before using it.

GetHireIn makes no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

8. Prohibited conduct

You must not use GetHireIn to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute platform data without permission
  • Attempt to circumvent any security or access controls
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Send unsolicited commercial messages to other users

9. Intellectual property

GetHireIn and its logo are trademarks of GetHireIn Ltd (Company No. 17285901). The platform, its design, and its underlying technology are owned by GetHireIn Ltd (Company No. 17285901). You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Content you post (such as your profile information) remains yours. By posting it, you grant GetHireIn a licence to display and use it to operate the platform.

10. Limitation of liability

GetHireIn is a platform connecting job seekers and employers — we are not a recruitment agency and do not guarantee employment outcomes. We are not liable for any employment decisions made by employers or candidates using the platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GetHireIn's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of GetHireIn after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Introduction

GetHireIn Ltd ("we", "us") takes your privacy seriously. This policy sets out how we use and protect your personal data when you visit gethirein.com and use our services. As the data controller, we are responsible for your personal data. Our Data Protection Manager is Neil Thomson, who can be contacted at neil@gethirein.com.

What is personal data?

Personal data is any information about a person which identifies them.

What personal data do we collect?

  • Identity information — your full name and date of birth
  • Contact information — your email address
  • Professional information — your work experience, education, skills, languages, and career history (imported from your own personal data export)
  • Financial data — payment details processed securely by Stripe (we do not store card details)
  • Usage information — how you interact with our platform, AI tool usage
  • Profile content — your profile photo, banner image, about me text, and any content you create on the platform

We do not collect sensitive personal data (such as racial or ethnic origin, health data, or political opinions) or data relating to children under 18.

How do we collect your personal data?

  • When you register and create an account
  • When you upload your personal data export file
  • When you use our AI-powered tools and features
  • When you apply for jobs or interact with employers on the platform
  • When you contact us or raise a support ticket

How and why do we use your personal data?

We can only use your personal data if we have a legal basis for doing so. We use your data for the following purposes:

  • To provide our services — creating and displaying your professional profile, AI profile generation, job matching, and platform features. Legal basis: performance of contract.
  • To process payments — handling subscription payments for paid plans. Legal basis: performance of contract.
  • To power AI features — your profile data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your bio, cover letters, interview questions, and other AI-powered content. We do not use your data to train AI models. Legal basis: performance of contract.
  • To communicate with you — sending service emails, support responses, and (where you have consented) platform updates. Legal basis: legitimate interests / consent.
  • To operate and improve the platform — ensuring the website functions correctly and improving our services. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • To comply with legal obligations — retaining records as required by law. Legal basis: legal obligation.

Marketing

We will only send you promotional communications if you have consented to receive them. You can opt out at any time by contacting us at neil@gethirein.com. If you opt out of marketing, you will still receive essential service communications.

Do we share personal data?

We only share your personal data with third party service providers where necessary to provide our services:

  • Supabase — database and authentication (hosted in London, UK)
  • Anthropic — AI content generation via Claude API
  • Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • logo.dev — company logo lookup (company name only, no personal data)

We will obtain your express consent before sharing your data with any third party for their own marketing purposes. We may share your data with legal and regulatory bodies if required by law.

International transfers

Your personal data is stored in the United Kingdom (London, eu-west-2). Some of our third-party service providers (including Anthropic, Stripe, and Cloudflare) are based in the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

Data portability

As required by GDPR Article 20, you uploaded your own personal data export to our platform. You retain full ownership of this data. You can download all data we hold about you at any time from your profile page.

Is your personal data secure?

We take security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). We use Row Level Security on our database to ensure users can only access their own data. Access to personal data is limited to those with a legitimate business need.

How long do we keep your personal data?

We keep your personal data for as long as you have an active account with us, or until you request deletion. When you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently erased within 30 days. We retain payment records for 6 years as required by financial regulations.

Your legal rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — request a copy of your personal data
  • Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Right to restriction — ask us to restrict how we process your data
  • Right to portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format (available via your profile page)
  • Right to withdraw consent — where we rely on consent as our legal basis
  • Right to object — object to processing for direct marketing or legitimate interests

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at neil@gethirein.com. We will respond within one month. You will not be charged a fee.
